At Sunly we have tried to foster a culture of openness and accepting of feedback.  We appreciate that not everything is easy but that everything can be made better.  It may not happen overnight but with our teams patience and feedback in all areas of the business they have all contributed to the great experience we hope you have.

Thanks for taking the time to research a Sunly franchise!  My role at Sunly is to make sure we’re helping as many homeowners and businesses take control of their energy needs with solar.  After over a decade in solar I’ve seen almost everything and I’m here to give you the tools and resources you need to sell and build solar projects exceptionally well and efficiently.

I’m an extremely passionate solar advocate and believe that the path to emissions reductions and the adverse effects of climate change is with distributed solar generation.  Install solar panels where you need the power, means less infrastructure costs and lets everyone be a part of the energy revolution currently underway.

The school of hard knocks is real and as a franchisee you get to tap into decades of experience in sales, project management, installation and servicing solar projects.  No one in Canada has installed more residential solar than our team and we’re here to make sure you do it the Sunly way!

You may not know me yet, but I am excited for you as you start down this path.  I really enjoy helping people reach their full potential.  How?  By imparting as much knowledge as I can... there's no secret recipes here.  I also believe there is no substitution for getting your hands dirty.  Go ahead, get out of your comfort zone (safely).  We'll be there and help you avoid missteps, but if they happen, we'll look at how to prevent it from happening again.  I'll also be there to work through any new and challenging situations you encounter out there.  Even after over 12 years, I am happy to still be learning, problem solving and innovating.

When I graduated from civil engineering from the University of Waterloo back in 2007, I had no idea that my life would lead me towards working with an amazing group of people in the solar energy field. I really love it.  And ensuring its continued and responsible growth is a legacy I hope to attain.  Watching you succeed is part of that.

When asked to do a short write up about my experience in solar, I made the joke there’s a better chance of me installing a 10kW system before I’d be happy with my few short paragraphs but here we go!

My role at Sunly is to take all the hard work completed by my colleagues and make your solar experience a reality.  As a red seal electrician and someone who has installed well over 1,000 residential solar systems personally, I have come across almost everything you can imagine and some things you would never believe.  These experiences have helped to shape the way our construction teams operate here at Sunly.  

Over my 10 years in solar I have fine-tuned every aspect of a solar installation to ensure clients are receiving nothing but the best workmanship and finished product. This has evolved into what I like to call “The Sunly Experience.” As a Sunly Franchisee, not only will you end up with the best installation practices, you will have the support of the best in the industry every step of the way
