Thinking Globally, Acting Locally

Environmental Responsibility: At Sunly, we are dedicated to protecting the planet by reducing carbon emissions through the use of solar. As of Aug 2023, we have installed over 2000 solar projects which have over 24264 kW of solar production. In addition to our efforts at decreasing our carbon footprint through solar installation, we have been making a conscious effort to reduce our own carbon footprint through the addition of EV vehicles to our fleet where possible.

Philanthropic Responsibility: Sunly is committed to helping the communities in which we live and work. We support a number of local organizations by providing donations as well as through sponsorships and sharing our radio space to promote their messages to the community. We have recently worked with the following organizations and initiatives. Be sure to check them out at the links below!

We always enjoy bringing some sun to the Gold Cup Parade-in 2022 as the balloon sponsor and as the parade marshall sponsor in 2023.

Sunly is an active member of the community and enjoys supporting local teams and events that bring the community together and encourages healthy living. We currently provide sponsorships to Northside Brewer’s Baseball, Eastern Canadian Basketball League and the Charlottetown Islander’s Hockey team.

Supporting Future Generations

Sunly knows the importance of protecting the earth for future generations but also is committed to supporting future generations by providing opportunities to our youth to learn about renewable energy and gain experience in this growing field.

Some of the ways we have done this is by supporting the UPEI Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering's senior design project where students worked to design a solar tracker for ground mount solar systems. This system was built with a lot of sensors and tools so that ground mount systems can be automatically adjusted to optimize solar production. We also welcome summer students to join our team both in office and in the field and provide them with dedicated job shadowing days to learn about different career paths and future opportunities.
